After a weekend of activities and tests, the all-new women-only W Series has announced the definitive list of names that will progress to the final round of the selection process.
The 54 hopefuls from around the globe have been demonstrating their skills on and off the track in Melk, Austria over the weekend. Now, 28 women have been chosen to test the W Series challenger in Spain in March. This will be the final part of the process before the series kicks off in May, supporting the DTM calendar.
Four judges had the task of whittling down the talented bunch of racers. David Coulthard, Alex Wurz, Lyn St James and Dave Ryan have now reached a decision.
The skills that they were assessed on included fitness challenges, media tasks and their own Race of Champions on-track shootout.
